Nathalie Manet Turner Assistant Director, Appalachian Overseas Education Programs B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing, Winthrop University, SC. M.A. in Education, Appalachian State University At Appalachian, I enjoy working for our faculty who lead international programs and facilitating the study abroad experience of their students. At home, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 6 year old daughter. I also like playing tennis and the piano, playing board games, reading, traveling, keeping up with current events, and gardening.
Missy Eich I moved to Boone, North Carolina a year ago and work for Housing and Residence Life as an Area Coordinator. When I'm not working I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, playing soccer, reading and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. I am passionate about spending time with my family, discovering new music, and finding peace at the end of each day. Matt Tantau Area Coordinator, Housing and Residence Life M.Ed. Educational Leadership, Northern Arizona University B.S. Electronic Media, Broadcast Journalism, Northern Arizona University Certificate in Meteorology, Mississippi State University I enjoy movies, golf, and traveling. Before moving out to Boone, I spent 8 years in Flagstaff Arizona, where I completed my Undergraduate and Master's Degrees at Northern Arizona University, GO LUMBERJACKS! In addition, I was a part-time weatherman for the local television station.
Gus Pena Assistant Director of Multicultural Education B.S. International Relations and Comparative Politics, Appalachian State University M.A. Higher Education Administration, Appalachian State University I enjoy sunny days, gummy candy, traveling, foreign languages and Sunkist. I also enjoy cooking, live music, recorded music, movies, conversations about public policy and philosophy, sports, Nicaraguan food, exercise, and building things.

I enjoy playing and watching any sport there is, especially college football. I love all things South Carolina, being outside, being with friends, reading a good book, watching movies, and spending time with my 2 year old niece.

Erin Telfer I am a senior social work major from Cary, NC. I LOVE Appalachian and the Boone area!! I really enjoy going to App sporting events, talking to people, taking naps, playing board or card games and reading.
Beth Miller I'm a Junior Psychology major, minoring in Religious studies. I'm a BIG drumline fan (I was on for two years) from Clemmons, NC. I love traveling, tv, snowboarding, friends, and baking cookies and cakes!
Patrick Derr Gastonia, NC Major: Political Science (concentration in Pre-Professional Legal Studies) I love to laugh and have fun. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and being involved in different organizations. The most relaxing thing for me to do is watch TV.
Phil Schneider I am a Junior Finance and Banking major, minoring in Political Science. I serve as treasurer for the SGA, in addition to serving as treasurer for my fraternity. I enjoy hiking/camping and enjoy the outdoors in general.
