Leadership Resources

The Department of Student Engagement & Leadership  is the hub of on-campus leadership and various types of student involvement. Many leadership programs are offered, and all students organizations are managed out of this department. We've supplied links to a number of interesting pages below:

Leadership & Involvement

Community Service

Appalachian & the Community Together (ACT) is ASU's clearinghouse for community service, service-learning, and community-based research opportunities within the NC High Country area, as well as across the state, nation, and world.

Diversity & Multiculturalism

The Office of Multicultural Student Development (MSD) provides marginalized and underrepresented students with mentoring, advocacy, community and identity affirmation; as well as offers multiple and varied learning opportunities for all Appalachian students to develop an appreciation for diversity and different perspectives, enhance self-awareness, increase multicultural knowledge and strengthen intercultural competency.  The MSD Office oversees three Centers.
